There has been a massive development in the Chennai camp as Ravindra Jadeja has handed back the captaincy to MS Dhoni. It remains to be seen what impact the move has on CSK’s fortunes. They are currently languishing in ninth position with two wins from eight games. SRH are fourth with five wins and three losses.
In their last match, Hyderabad’s amazing five-match winning streak was brought to an end by the Gujarat Titans (GT). SRH batted well to post 195 for 6 as Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram hit half-centuries. Umran Malik then claimed a superb five-fer to sting GT. However, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan proved too good for them.
SRH seem to be doing fine with the bat although consistent contributions from Nicholas Pooran and Washington Sundar would help. In the bowling, Marco Jansen has seen extreme highs and lows in the last two matches. It will be interesting to see how he comes out of the experience.
SRH predicted XI: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan
Chennai went down to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 11 runs in their last match. Their bowling looked lacklustre in the game. Dwaine Pretorius went for 50 while Dwayne Bravo gave away 42 though he claimed a couple of wickets.
Their batting was again a major disappointment. Only Ambati Rayudu put up a fight with a stellar knock of 78 in 39 balls. The likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa and former skipper Ravindra Jadeja must start contributing.
CSK predicted XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Mitchell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius, Mukesh Choudhary, Maheesh Theekshana
Top fantasy picks for SRH vs CSK clash: Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Umran Malik, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Mukesh Choudhary
