West Indies have received a blow to their chances in the ongoing Test Series against England with new fast bowler Shannon Gabriel breaking down with a back injury. Shannon Gabriel, who made his Test Debut at Lord’s was impressive with 3/60 and 1/26. However, the Trinidadian paceman broke down during the English second innings which proved to be a setback for the West Indies after having the hosts under pressure at 57 for 4 in a run chase of 191.
The West Indies Cricket Board has named Tino Best as the replacement for Gabriel. Tino Best is from Barbados and has played for West Indies in the past but with little success. The 30-year-old fast bowler made his West Indies debut nine years ago but since then has played just the 14 Tests and 12 ODIs.
